The fruit of a Christian.

When looking at the fruit of a Christian it’s important to remember that people can only give from what they have. When looking inside ourselves this is true as well. Most people live on recycling what they already have. The fruit is designed to feed us in the NOW. Yesterday’s fruit won’t satisfy today’s need. We must continue to “fertilize” our “tree”. A constant stream of strong Biblical sound teachings, authentic HS encounters, the Word of God, prayer, etc, are…

Jesus is our strong man!

As a Christian, Jesus is our strong man! No one can bind Him up and take what is His! We may allow the enemy to lie, mislead, or influence us, but he cannot enter into our house (spirit)! Mark 3:23-27 NASB20 So He called them to Himself and said to them in parables: “How can Satan cast out Satan? “If a kingdom is divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand. “And if a house is divided against itself, that house…

You must fight against a spiritual attack.

Fear is a spirit that God has not given you. You must fight against fear as a spiritual attack. Avoiding, ignoring, distracting yourself, rationalizing, etc may help in dealing with stress attacks but not the spirit of fear. We fight spiritual battles with spiritual weapons and learn how to resist the attacks of the enemy. A good way to start is by praying in the spirit. I encourage you to pray a minimum of 30 minutes a day in the…

Wisdom and Understanding.

So many Christians chase wisdom but never achieve understanding. Without understanding, you can’t apply your wisdom. Proverbs 4:7 Wisdom is the principal thing; Therefore get wisdom. And in all your getting, get understanding.

Stand Firm!

STAND FIRM!! Eph 6:13-17 NASB20 Therefore, take up the full armor of God, so that you will be able to resist on the evil day, and having done everything, to stand firm. Stand firm therefore, having belted your waist with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having strapped on your feet the preparation of the gospel of peace; in addition to all, taking up the shield of faith with which you will be able to extinguish…

Faith

Faith is very real. It’s not just a feeling or a thought you force yourself to believe in your mind. Faith is the very substance that makes what we hope to receive real. The source in which our hope is centered. Something you can “hold.” Not a feeling or a thought but a real actual substance to hope from. Since we have such a substance in that which we hope for it proves what we hope for is real. It…

Don’t skip the foundational truths.

An elementary level of understanding can “see” that it’s wrong, but it takes a college level of deception to “see” it as “right”! In other words; as a Christian have you ever known something is off, something is wrong, it’s just not right? It seems so obvious, plain as day, right there staring at you for all to see! You say something about it thinking, “well, everyone can see this is way off!” … only to find out … WRONG!…

On the level that you know Him.

I get asked a lot… “What do you think about” so and so? About teachings on their dreams, visions, prophecies, experiences, etc. My answer is always the same. You can only preach about Jesus on the level that you know Him. Once you have reached that, you have two choices. 1- Grow in your relationship with Him and the depth of your preaching. 2- Preach things that only you can judge the depth on.

No matter what the cost.

When a Christian says that doing whatever it takes to reach someone is “selling out” it reveals deeper issues within that person. I believe the most obvious one is believing it’s about them at all. We don’t do this for personal gain we do this for the lost gaining Christ. We do this because no matter what the cost, we long for everyone to know the love of the Father revealed through His son Jesus! I am thankful for the…

Be Christ-like!

One way of being Christ-like that we all can do is go to church, read scripture, and be involved. It was Jesus’s custom (habit, practice) to go to church. He stood up (was involved) and He unrolled the scroll (book) of Isaiah and found where He wanted to read from. Jesus went to church, He was involved, and He read scripture. Be Christ-like! Luke 4:16-17 NASB20 And He came to Nazareth, where He had been brought up; and as was…

Anything more than you.

The fear of not being accepted drove you to become what you’re not. Then the fear of realizing you have become what you’re not drove you to do what you thought you needed to do to become what you decided you really should be. And the cycle continues, all driven by fear. Now the fear of owning all you have done while trying to be you is keeping you away from the only one who never needed you to be…

Give it to Jesus.

Knowing that we all fall short and miss the mark, that we all need Jesus, and that none of us is perfect gives the comfort in knowing “I’m not the only one.” But what do you do with the alone, quiet memories of the things you’ve done that absolutely wreck you? You know the things you only remember when something triggers it, a drifting thought of the past, a moment of self-reflection gone wrong. Well, the truth is nothing makes…
