God has not stopped talking to us through His Spirit! One of the biggest differences I see between those who believe in the gifts of the Holy Spirit and those who don’t is who they give credit. When a preacher who believes in the gifts teaches a powerful message they will give credit to the HS for the revelation He gave them. When a preacher who doesn’t believe in the gifts preaches a powerful message they will give credit to themselves for all their hard work and studying. Ever read a scripture many many times and one day it just makes sense? I get it now!! That is not from you being smarter that is the HS revealing it to you. All revelation of scripture is from the leading of the HS, not from you.
John 16 13-15 NASB 20
“But when He, the Spirit of truth, comes, He will guide you into all the truth; for He will not speak on His own, but whatever He hears, He will speak; and He will disclose to you what is to come. He will glorify Me, for He will take from Mine and will disclose it to you. All things that the Father has are Mine; this is why I said that He takes from Mine and will disclose it to you.”
