I watched Dallas’ video on “The Chosen” today. He said that “The Chosen” is one of the most-watched shows in the world! However, less than 5% of the people who watch “The Chosen” give financially. Less than 5% give! If you’re not aware, “The Chosen” is completely free, so you don’t have to give anything to watch.
The part that I personally struggle with is the mindset of some, who seems to be the majority of Christians when it comes to money and the giving of it. Out of everyone, Christians should be leading by the example of giving. The world will spend billions to watch TV shows, movies, apps, etc., and I bet some of the people who watched “The Chosen” for free have a paid service to provide the internet to watch it, along with other paid apps.
Nothing we have is ours. It’s all God’s, and only because of Him are we blessed to have anything. It was someone else’s before us and it will be someone else’s after us. We don’t take anything with us, and we don’t own anything. We borrow it. For the most part, once we die, someone else will spend, sell, throw away, etc., all that we thought was important to have. We aren’t going to be rewarded for how much we collected while we are here. We are rewarded for how much we gave while being here in the name of the Lord.
Christians, we can and should be doing better with what God has blessed us with.
